Herding Cats Would Be Easier

Some nights, dinner time is the worst time in our house. Tonight is one of them. As I sit here writing this blog, my oldest kiddo is making excuses as to why he can't (more like won't) eat his meatloaf.
  • He's full
  • He ate all of his lunch and isnt' hungry
  • He hates meatloaf
  • His brother is making faces at him
  • It's inedible
I'm about to pull my hair out. I hate nights like this. Honestly, this is why on a regular basis, I consider filling in the dinner menu with chicken nuggets and frozen pizza.

I know it's not just my kiddos. What are some of your family's favorite kid friendly meals?

  1. The 3 year old has all kinds of excuses. Tonight he wouldn't eat hamburgers because he only needs string cheese and fruit. Because they will make him strong. Apparently a burger will slow him down. He also woke up the other day and requested Gatorade, because he was going to play hard.
Our only successes are spaghetti, mac and cheese, and pizza. Supposedly he eats for people when I'm not around...

  2. This was us last night! I made chicken pot pie, something everyone loves- and my 5 yr old had every excuse in the book why she couldn't possibly eat it. Drives me nuts! She even said we should have just went to McDonald's because they make better food @@

  3. Oh my gosh, dinnertime around here is the worst part of the day. My 2 1/2 year old is so picky and I'm trying to break him of it. Even when he's eating something he likes, the two kids will not sit still and just eat. I'm constantly reminding them to eat, to not talk with their mouth full, and to chew with their mouth closed.

Easy dinners for us is waffles, pancakes, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, and soup would be considered easy if my two weren't so messy.

Comments?! Yes, please! I'll return the love.
