Thanksgiving is inching closer and, so, my countdown marches on. Now that I have gotten past the perfunctory blessings (kids, hubby, parents), I'll move on to some less obvious stuff.
Today I'm feeling pretty thankful for coffee. That's right...I believe it may be the nectar of the gods. Without coffee, this is me...Once I've gotten my coffee, I'm a happy person. Even my kids know that mommy requires coffee to function properly. As a mommy to 3, wifey to 1 (just thought I'd confirm that I'm not a polygamist...), pooper-scooper to 2 dogs and full-time student, I have about a million things going on every day. It takes a lot of caffeine to keep me going...
In the words of Lorelai Gilmore, "I'm the perfect storm of caffeine and genetics" :)

Coffee makes my tummy hurt so I've never gotten past that to drink it. It smells so good to me sometimes that I wish I wasn't such a wuss!
ReplyDeleteOoooo, I love the smell of coffee brewing! I don't drink it, but I'm seriously contemplating taking up the habit. As mama to four, I need as much help as I can get. Vitamin B-12 tablets only go so far...
ReplyDeleteI love the vitange sign pictures. The '50's housewives did everything with a smile, even death threats. Those were the good ol' days. Hee, hee. ;)
I do so heart coffee. Big Pink Puffy Heart, in fact. Coffee is my friend. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! Nature Boy and I have a deal... I'll clean out the coffee maker each night, and he makes it in the morning. On the few occasions when I've neglected my end of the bargain (and the coffee wasn't waiting for me) I was seriously regretting it!
ReplyDeleteI will say though that the first cup if the BEST. After that, they go down hill....
