Well, we have finally arrived at our final destination....about five minutes west of Lucifer in Hell. Just kidding...kinda...well, have you ever been to West Texas? It's hot here. But, it's a dry heat so my hair loves it!
Anyways, we are here...let's see what else is going on...
I have internet again. Now if only the people would deliver my household goods, I'd be all set. Hopefully, I will be back on track with my blogging...I know ya'll have missed me :)
The boys are in school. Oldest kiddo has a "whatever" kind of attitude about it. Middle kiddo hates change and has, so far, cried both days. It kills me when he cries. He gets that super red face and does that gasping for air thing that kids do. Heartwrenching, I tell ya.
I live 15 minutes from a Super Target. Yay me!
I still need a job. And I'm getting a bit nervous about it because the Sunday paper only had 2 pages of help wanted ads. Seriously. Used to be that the Sunday paper had at least 5 or 6 pages of help wanted ads. Times are tough, I suppose.
Not having stuff means I don't have my washer and dryer. Um, I have a 1 year old. I need to do laundry because I don't care how cute she is, the child is a mess. I just gave her a banana for breakfast and now I have to change her shirt. Seriously. She made that big of a mess out of a banana. You should see what she can do with mac and cheese...let's just say a pressure washer is needed.
Alrighty, well, I have to drop some stuff off to the property manager, figure out where the hell to get my mailbox key and find a laundry mat that isn't full of bugs and creepy people...as you can see, I have quite the busy day ahead of me.

Yay, you made it! :) Changing schools in the middle of the year is pretty rough, not gonna lie :) Hopefully your treasured household goods will hurry up and get there so you can stop dressing 1-year-old in mac n cheese clothes ;) good luck at the laundromat!
ReplyDeleteNo washer and dryer? Um, good thing you're so close to Super Target!
ReplyDeleteyay you made it! good luck
ReplyDeleteCongrats! How exciting that you made it! Hopefully you will get all resolved soon and everyone will settle in nicely. I know what you mean though about not having a washing machine. Ours was broken for about 2 weeks and I couldn't stand not being able to just run down and throw in shirts the kids just smashed food into. Looking forward to reading more of your adventures!
ReplyDeleteI hate moving. Mostly because it is so hard on the kiddoes! But kids bounce back. But not until your heart has been crushed into tiny pieces. I feel your pain with the washer/dryer gone. My kitchen sink was out of order for 2 days...no biggie if it is just you..but there are 7 of us! GRRRRR. Worst case, just stick the kids in the bath with their clothes on...heehee.
ReplyDeletePoor kiddo - I hope he makes some friends and gets settled into his new school without too much more sadness.
ReplyDeleteA washer is so important when you have a toddler. They are synonymous with mess!
Texas+Summer=Bad. I have only been to Texas in the summer when I have been preggo though, so that was an issue, too!
ReplyDeleteI have always lived near a superTarget. I LOVE it
Super Target! NICE :)
ReplyDeleteNo washer and dryer....BAD!
I remember when we moved to Ft Bliss and we had no washer and dryer, my dear husband said to wash the clothes in the bath-tub!
I send good juju for the job search!
